IF YOU CAN DREAM IT ,YOU CAN DO IT

I had a meeting with my students about Eco-labeled products and I gave information about what eco-label means .Now, they are more conscious about it  and they have started to search for eco -labels  

 We examined and discussed the eco labels of the project partner schools and the eco labels we found in our environment.

 

According to the Pre- questionare results about Waste,most of the students didn’t join a   Project about the Waste before this Project.Nearly half of the students think that 200-300 litres of water are used while producing a t-shirt.76.2% of students are always careful about water consumption.21.3% of students are sometimes careful about it.10.7% of students think that the amount of the garbage dump site is approximately one neighbourhood.32.8% of them think that it is approximately a city and 56.6% of them think that it is a lot more than it. Only 27% of them always utilise their broken or worn out mateials in a diffrent way.73% of students sometimes repair or reuse their worn out materials.35.2 % of them think that unnecessary consumption means ‘’loss in the country and family economy’’.Nearly half of the students think that 1/10 of the food is thrown away. 53.3 of them think that we can feed 800000 of starvelling people with the food that is thrown away.

Final Questionare Results About Waste According to the final questionare results about waste, nearly half of the students express that   they feel useful to be a member of a project which studies waste.Most of the students think that they buy something   by considering its different effects such as nature,resources, energy consumption,etc. during its production.78.7% of students prefer buying reusable plastic materials.All of the students think that repairing and reusing the broken or worn out material is an avaible   method to take out less waste.59,6% of students think   that ‘’Recycle, nature profits’’is the first step to take out as least waste as possible.36.5% of students think that’’Think , do not consume if it is not necessary ‘’contributes most among 5D practice steps for   Zero Waste. 93% of students think that our studies about waste in our Project and the lecture of the experts are useful for them.

 We studied labels on the products and made suggestion sentences. In the Environment unit,  we use "should and shouldn't " sentences

 Our project's logo and poster are on our school's board. I feel proud to share our project in our school.

 

 My students used their waste picture in online lessons as their profile pictures to raise awareness.

  We came together with my students and talked about one of February activites "Eco-Label".We exchanged opinion and decided to search for the products whether they are eco-friendly or not.

  We had a meeting with my students and played taboo game.Musa is the winner of the game.They enjoyed very much and wanted to play again ang again.I thank my students.

 Final questionare abaut waste

  According to the results of final questionnaire about waste, %46,8 of the students feel themselves useful. %93,6 of them really think before they buy something, %78,7 of them buy reusable plastic materials. All of them believe that repairing broken materials and using them for different purposes will lessen waste. %59,6 of the students think and don't consume if they don't need. %36,2 of them think that thinking before consuming contribute most among 5D Practice steps for zero waste. %93,6 of them think the studies about waste in our project are useful.

 Pınar ÇOBAN/Ticaret Borsası Secondary School/Süleymanpaşa Information and Technology Teacher Barış ERGÜL informed our students about Safety Internet Use.After the webinar our students answered some questions abour Safety Internet use and they got their certificates
